Brady Krchnavy

Brady is the owner of New Age Farming. He is an expert on the research and development of mycorrhizal fungi products for agriculture.

Biography

Brady Krchnavy grew up farming in southeast North Dakota, and that’s where his passion for farming started. When he was the sales manager at an agricultural radio station, he discovered Mycorrhizae at a farm show. After years of research and development and seeing great results with his products, he decided to start his own company (New Age Farming) to work with this new mycorrhizal fungi technology full-time. After nearly a decade and a half, his story comes full circle because he now helps farmers worldwide optimize their soil health and yield potential.

New Age Farming has become the nation’s leading supplier of mycorrhizal fungi for commercial farming, developing products that enhance root growth, improve soil health, and boost crop yields. Brady is a frequent speaker at ag events, is featured on the radio, and has been featured in various magazines, journals, and podcast interviews.

Brady owns and operates FarmFungi.com, GardenFungi.com, SaltBGone.com, and BioNyck.com

Roots That Reach: How Mycorrhizal Fungi Help Crops Thrive in Dry Conditions

Inconsistent rainfall and increasing summer heat are pressing challenges for every grower. Whether you’re in a dryland corn system or irrigating in high-evaporation zones, your yield depends on how well your crops can access water—not just at the surface, but deep in the soil profile.  That’s where mycorrhizal fungi make their biggest impact. By supporting…

Save Smarter: How Fungi Reduce Fertilizer Costs and Boost ROI

Fertilizer isn’t cheap—and it’s not getting cheaper. From global supply shocks to increased nitrogen restrictions, farmers are stuck in a costly cycle. But what if the real issue isn’t how much fertilizer you use—but how much your plants actually access?  That’s where mycorrhizal fungi come in. By restoring the natural microbial systems that enhance nutrient…

Fungi That Stick Around: How Regenerative Practices Preserve Soil Biology

Every farmer wants higher yields, healthier plants, and better margins. But the ultimate goal? A system that sustains itself.  That’s what regenerative agriculture—and especially mycorrhizal fungi—can help achieve. At Farm Fungi, we’ve worked with growers who, after several seasons of using our mycorrhizal inoculants and adopting soil-friendly practices, no longer need to reapply our product.…

The Field That Proved the Fungi: Results from Tassel Stage Trials

Every farmer has been pitched a magic bullet. So it’s no surprise that many growers are cautious when they first hear about mycorrhizal fungi. But unlike unproven additives, the benefits of these fungi aren’t based on hype—they’re rooted in real field data.  In 2022, a detailed trial conducted near Wood River, Nebraska by soils consultant…

Deep Roots, Real Profits: How Mycorrhizal Fungi Supercharge Corn Growth

Yield isn’t just about genetics or fertilizer. It’s about root access—to moisture, nutrients, and microbial allies that make those inputs count. In modern corn systems, root health is the most overlooked factor in maximizing both productivity and profitability.  Mycorrhizal fungi—nature’s underground network—are proving to be a game-changer in boosting root structure, nutrient absorption, and stress…

What’s Killing Your Soil—and How to Revive It with Fungi

Farmers across North America are dealing with a growing problem they didn’t create—and often can’t see. Compacted ground, crusted surfaces, falling yields, and mounting input costs are symptoms of a deeper issue: biological collapse in the soil.  For over a century, conventional practices—deep tillage, excessive synthetic fertilizer use, and repeated chemical applications—have stripped soils of…
